At weweave, we commit ourselves to protecting your personal information in all conscience. This document describes what we do to protect your data and how we process it. By visiting our websites or by using our services or by submitting personal information to weweave through our websites and services, you are consenting to the collection, use, transfer and disclosure of information as described in this document.
When using the terms “us”, “we” or “weweave” in this document, it refers to our company: weweave UG (limited liability), Fichtenweg 8d, 65510 Idstein, Germany.
“Personal information” refers to information that identifies you personally, either alone or in combination with other information available.
Where we process personal information
We collect and process personal information in the following scopes and services:
- Customer portal (accessible through weweave.net/auth)
- Email address
- Contact form (accessible through weweave.net/contact/contact-form/)
- Email address
- Requests via email
- Requests via the DNN Store Ticket System
Our customer portal is based on our open source solution “weweave commerce”, the source code available on GitHub. We use it as an interface between our customers, our brokers and us (weweave).
For reasons of simplicity and convenience, our software is distributed through our brokers FastSpring and DNN Store. When purchasing a service or a product through one of our brokers, the broker acts on his own behalf. This means, there’s a contract between you and the broker and you will receive an invoice directly from the broker.
After you have completed a purchase through one of our brokers, the broker sends relevant order details to our servers using an automated technical interface. The following personal information is being transmitted and processed by us in this case:
- Email address
- Purchased products
To provide you an easy-to-use means of managing your weweave products (such as license keys and support requests), we offer you the free registration of a account in our customer portal. This allows for downloading your license keys at any time, receiving updated regarding your products, managing your support tickets and view our answers and more. If you opt for registering with our customer portal, we will store the aforementioned personal information in our database. We assure to only use your personal information for the purpose of managing your customer account. We will not transfer your personal data to any third parties without your explicit confirmation.
You can opt out from product updated at any time in your profile settings after logging in to the customer portal.
If you decide not to set up a customer account with us, you have the ability of requesting your license keys and handling your support requests via email. In this case, we will delete the personal information transmitted by the broker from our databases after a period of seven days. However, as a business we are required to keep a record of our sales including your personal information even if you do not opt for having an account in our customer portal.
At any time, you can request a copy of your personal data stored at weweave which we will provide in a structured format (such as JSON or XML). Furthermore, if you choose to delete your customer account later, you can request the deletion via email at any time.
We do no profiling with your personal information at all.
By submitting a request to us using the contact form on our website, an email to our support team will be generated. The mail is stored in the mailbox of our support team. We will only use the submitted information to solve your request and to answer your questions. We will not transfer your personal data to any third parties without your explicit confirmation.
Requests via email
Requests via the DNN Store Ticket System
Our broker DNN Store allows for submitting support requests to us via their own Ticket System. This Ticket System is operated solely by the DNN Store. We have no control over how the information you enter there is being processed or stored. By submitting a support request to us using the DNN Store Ticket System, an email to our support team is triggered including our name and the entered request. We will use your information solely for solving your request.
We will not forward any of your personal information to third parties without your express consent.
We would like to expressly point out that the transmission of data via the Internet (e.g., by e-mail) can offer security vulnerabilities. We do our best to protect your information from these vulnerabilities by consistently providing and using all of our services over HTTPS and encrypting your information whenever possible (i.e. when performing database backups). However, it is impossible to safeguard the data completely against access by third parties. We cannot assume any liability for damages arising as a result of such security vulnerabilities.
The use by third parties of all published contact details for the purpose of advertising is expressly excluded. We reserve the right to take legal steps in the case of the unsolicited sending of advertising information; e.g., by means of spam mail.
